115 Checkout!

Damn it. Played Darts at lunch time in King Eddies. Another fine pub, in fact probably has the edge on the Northstar in my affections. Recently they've installed a dart board which has given Andy and myself a great way of avoiding awkward pauses in our conversations.

Started off well, won the first game. Obviously news of my impressive win spread through out the pub, as an old man came into the back bar, pretending to read Exchange and Mart while he watched us. We had an audience.

Unfortunately it was then my arm 'went wrong' and I suddenly became very rubbish. Andy though was chucking some of the best arrows of his career. That's his 'darts at lunch time' career. Beaten 2 games to one I suggested one last game before going back to work, hoping to go out on a high and lay the ground for a thrilling 501 decider tomorrow. Alas Andy suppased himself, checking out on a score of 115 (treble 20, 15, double top). He had to use every ounce of self control to stop himself running round the pub hi-five - ing (how do you spell that?) people. Even the old man looked as if he was about to cry, though that probably had nothing to do with us.

Outside, it began to rain again...

Hmmm, just realised that half my posts so far have been about darts. Don't worry, I do other stuff...erm...
