The tensions building

Its day 28! If it rains tomorrow the record has been smashed! According to the weather forecasts we probably have at least another 5 days of rain so it looks like we're going to set a new record. Everyone is excited in Vancouver, especially those who live at the base of the mountains in North Van who may have to be evacuated from their homes because of the danger of mudslides.

Cheryl Baker is clutching her yellow rain hat to her head as the wind picks up. The kids surrounding her are screaming even louder and the ghost of Roy Castle has now broken the tap dancing record for the dead as he taps a minute for every inch of rain that's fallen.

Tomorrow if it rains (it could still all go wrong even at this late stage) we're going out to celebrate. Its not everyone that gets to enjoy 29 days of rain. In fact I imagine the last was Noah.
