So close...
We were at the top of our game. The rain had been steady for the last 28 days. The forecast said to expect showers for at least another 5 days. That record was going to be smashed and I was going to see it. I awoke on Saturday morning to find that it was... sunny.
My first reaction, and I'm not kidding here, was 'Ah no, its not raining!' I think I may of been in Vancouver a bit too long.
The rain held off the whole day so we are back to square one. Not sure I can stomach 28 more days just to break the record. My secret rain dances will have to stop.
Anyway, one good thing about it not raining is that it allowed us to go out and about in Vancouver. So Andy, Hannah, Jade and myself hit the sea wall trail of Stanley Park and went for a giant walk. I love Stanley Park. The sheer amount of time it takes to walk allows you and your companions to have giant conversations about everything under the sun. It was a great way to spend a Saturday.
Andy on a swing. Bless.

In the evening Andy went to see his good lady while I went back to Hannah and Jade's for soup and discussions about life, etc. Yep, it was one of them evenings. After that I went over to meet the other chaps in the pub for a few beers before heading home. I arrived at the pub at 11:00pm. Crazy eh? Imagine in the UK popping out for a couple of beers and chat at 11:00pm. Ah, of course, you have 24 hour drinking now so I guess you can... right?

only in theory - i don't think we have adjusted to crazy all hours drinking as a purely social activity, still hovering in the anti-social vain of things. give it time ....

i think you're allowed to sit in the pub, but the staff don't serve you, just stand around you, circling in like dingoes, trying to psyche you into leaving so they can go home.
